What is 7075 T6 T6511 aluminum?
7075 aluminum is a high-strength alloy from the 7xxx series, primarily alloyed with zinc, magnesium, and copper. It is commonly selected for applications requiring maximum strength and toughness.
T6 refers to solution heat-treated and artificially aged condition.
T6511 is a variation of T6 used for extruded products, with stress relief stretching and minor straightening applied after heat treatment. This helps reduce warping and improves dimensional stability—ideal for long aluminum bars.

Production methods: extruded, cold Drawn
7075 T6 and T6511 aluminum bars are primarily produced through:
Extrusion: The alloy is pushed through a shaped die while hot. Extruded bars in T6511 condition are stretched and stress-relieved to improve straightness and reduce internal stress.
Cold Drawing: After extrusion, bars may be pulled through dies at room temperature. This enhances surface finish, tightens dimensional tolerances, and increases strength—making it ideal for high-precision aerospace parts.
Both methods offer strong, consistent material ideal for CNC machining, threading, and structural integration.
