Cu-OF (CW008A) and Cu-OFE (CW009A) are high-purity oxygen-free copper grades supplied as flat bars for precision machining,demanding electrical applications and resistance to hydrogen embrittlement. Compared with electrolytic tough pitch copper (Cu-ETP), oxygen-free copper contains extremely low oxygen levels, making it suitable for applications involving vacuum environments, high-temperature processing, and high-reliability electrical systems.
Available in accordance with EN 13601, Cu-OF and Cu-OFE copper flat bars provide excellent machinability, weldability, and stable mechanical properties. They are commonly machined into electrical connectors, busbars, terminals, contact components, semiconductor parts, vacuum equipment, and other precision conductive components. While both grades offer outstanding purity and corrosion resistance, CW009A (Cu-OFE) provides higher copper purity and tighter impurity control than CW008A (Cu-OF), making it the preferred choice for demanding electronic and semiconductor applications.
