EN 13601 Oxygen-Free Copper Flat Bar Cu-OF (CW008A) Cu-OFE (CW009A)

Cu-OF (CW008A) and Cu-OFE (CW009A) are high-purity oxygen-free copper grades supplied as flat bars and rectangular bars for demanding electrical, electronic, and precision engineering applications. Cu-OF (CW008A) contains a minimum of 99.95% copper and offers excellent electrical conductivity, thermal conductivity, and formability. Cu-OFE (CW009A) is an electronic-grade oxygen-free copper with a minimum copper content of 99.99%, providing even higher purity and conductivity for critical applications such as vacuum systems, semiconductor equipment, scientific instruments, and high-performance electrical components.

Technical Notes

Current-carrying capacity is calculated in accordance with DIN 43671 at an ambient temperature of 35°C and a conductor temperature of 65°C. The values apply to AC, DC, and 16⅔ Hz systems. Actual current capacity depends on conductor dimensions, installation conditions, and cooling efficiency. Tin plating is available to improve corrosion resistance and solderability.
