2219 Aluminum T851 Plate Aerospace Alloy AMS 4295
The 2219 aluminum plate is known for its exceptional fracture toughness and stress corrosion resistance, making it ideal for high-temperature applications. This precipitation age-hardenable, heat-treatable alloy is particularly valuable in scenarios where welding is necessary. It offers a balance of impressive mechanical properties and machinability. To achieve the T851 temper, 2219 aluminum undergoes solution heat treatment, stress relieving, and artificial aging. It is available in a range of sizes and tempers, including the T851.
