How to do Aluminum Jacketing Installation
Measure and Cut
Begin by measuring the length and circumference of the pipe, duct, or vessel that needs jacketing.
Cut the aluminum jacketing roll to the required length using metal shears or a suitable cutting tool.
Prepare the Surface
Ensure the insulation surface is smooth, dry, and free of debris.
For curved surfaces, pre-shape the jacketing strips slightly to match the contour.
Wrap the Aluminum Roll
Place the aluminum jacketing around the insulation material, aligning the embossed side outward.
For straight runs, overlap the edges by 25–50 mm; for curved surfaces, make small cuts to allow proper fitting.
Secure the Jacketing
Use aluminum or stainless steel bands, rivets, or specialized clips to hold the jacketing in place.
Seal all overlaps and seams with approved aluminum tape or sealant to ensure water and vapor resistance.
Finishing
Check the surface for tightness, smoothness, and uniform appearance.
