Copper Nickel Round Bar C70600 C71500
Copper Nickel Bar is a copper-based alloy bar made by adding nickel to copper, and it is also commonly called CuNi Bar or Copper Nickel Alloy Bar. Compared with pure copper, the addition of nickel improves seawater corrosion resistance, resistance to erosion corrosion, mechanical strength, and high-temperature stability, while still keeping good thermal conductivity, machinability, and weldability. Because of these material properties, Copper Nickel Bars are widely used in marine engineering, shipbuilding, seawater condensers, heat exchangers, desalination equipment, cooling piping systems, petrochemical industries, power plants, and other applications exposed to seawater or corrosive environments. The two most common grades are C70600 and C71500 Copper Nickel.

The international designations “90/10” and “70/30” Copper Nickel are named according to the approximate copper-to-nickel ratio in the alloy. For example, “90/10 Copper Nickel” means the alloy contains approximately 90% copper and 10% nickel. However, the actual composition is not exactly limited to these two elements, as small amounts of iron (Fe) and manganese (Mn) are also typically added to improve corrosion resistance, erosion resistance, and overall seawater performance.
